George Washington has left behind a rich legacy for future Presidents to model. The creators of the Constitution had most likely left Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution vague with Washington in mind. They knew he would have to define most of the President's roles and responsibilities. All of the precedents he set helped to mold the role of the President into what it now is today. Through his careful thoughts and his actions, he established himself as one of America's greatest individuals in history.
